Greetings from Dashwire!

Our engineers have created a java application that can download your pictures
and videos from the Dashwire site in one big batch. This application requires
java to be installed on your PC and will only download files that end with .jpg
(photo) and 3gp (movie). To start the application simply click on the
"DashImageDownloader.jar" file to execute. If double clicking doesn't work,
please try typing in: java -jar DashImageDownloader.jar at a shell prompt.

You will need to give your login and password and then select a folder on your
PC to download all the media to. Once all this is entered, you simply click on
"Start Download" and all your media will be downloaded to your PC.

Also, once you are logged into your Dashwire account, if you append
contacts.xml or messages.xml to the URL in your browser, you will receive an
XML dump of your contacts and messages in the browser.

I'm looking for an answer to the same question, but applied to photos as well. I had completely forgotten about dashwire and found some great stuff from the phone I had in 2007. I'd really like to be able to download my photos and videos before the service goes offline. I'm pretty sure since the service is being discontinued, it's unlikely that this will ever be implemented, but I'm hopeful that the option does exist and I'm overlooking it.

I got the email about discontinuing the service and was actually thrilled. - I had lost my phone a while ago and had forgotten about the backup service.  Great videos and photos in the cloud!  But there doesn't appear to be a way to download them, as they (videos) open up in a player.  I tried to email them to myself, but the emails just link to the same player.  Is there any way to download my collection en masse?

Awesome Drop worked beautifully for several months on this phone. Now when I try to open it I get:  “Sorry! The application Awesome Drop (process com.dashwire.drop) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.” <Force close> or <Report>  I've done both & "tried again!" 

Then I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. Still have the same problem. Any suggestions? I love this program and I’m seriously bummed that it’s not working any more.

Sorry about not seeing this. We hope you've figured it out by now. Unfortunately Dashwire only works on Windows 5 and 6 devices. You can try out our product for Best Buy, mIQ, that does support BlackbBerry, at miqlive.com.

I know it's a free app, but it's such a GOOD free app and it stopped working!  I don't know where else to go for support, so please forgive me if this is the wrong place.  It had been several days since I last needed to move something to my phone, but yesterday I tried to use Awesome Drop to no avail.  I am able to drag a file into the loading window on my laptop but my browser then simply flashes a status message "Waiting for labs.dashwire.com..." Are there any issues with Awesome Drop?  I certainly hope not.
